The 8 coolest designer venues you should visit at least once
There is no lack of excellence in Milan, especially as far as the world of design is concerned. In the city’s most bustling areas there are bars with an exclusive and original style, places where you can spend the evening sipping a drink surrounded by designer venues. How many trendy venues are there in Milan? Many, really many. We’ve drawn up a list of the 8 most interesting designer bars. Let’s start!
Radio Rooftop
This is in the Repubblica area and is one of Milan’s trendiest venues. Radio Rooftop is on the 10th floor of the ME Milan Il Duca Hotel, featuring elegant and exclusive premises. Radio Rooftop has a refined design and a unique style. Plus, its terrace offers a magnificent view of Milan’s skyline.
Bar Luce
What did the city’s old bars look like? To find out, just head to Bar Luce designed by Wes Anderson. The bar is inside the Prada Foundation and offers a unique experience. Indeed, the subdued colours of the furniture and the ambience seem straight out of a Wes Anderson film. A true plunge into the past, also thanks to the old games inside the bar.
Terrazza12
Let’s move to another rooftop bar, the one in the Brian and Barry building in the San Babila area. Terrazza12 is designed with a 1950s style and has an astonishing view. A refined setting for a happy hour with a retro feel.
Armani Bamboo Bar
In the Montenapoleone area, the Armani lounge bar stands out among the bags and shoes of top brands. The backlit elements and unique large windows are the benefits of this top venue in Milan’s nightlife scene. The Armani Bamboo Bar is the perfect place for a truly stylish aperitif.
Carlo e Camilla in Segheria
A true gem in the heart of the area south of Milan. Carlo e Camilla in Segheria by Carlo Cracco features furniture that combines an industrial style with chic elements. The raw plaster walls act as a contrast with elegant chandeliers eliciting true amazement. A fun fact? The premises were formerly a sawmill.
Miss Sixty Cafè
The Miss Sixty Cafè is a hit on social media. A “pop” venue with a vibrant style, perfect at any time of day. The iconic walls with floral motifs and pink sofas are now unmistakable and make this bar one of the places you should visit at least once.
Dry Milano
The venue, or rather venues, of Andrea Berton have won over the Milanese. The Dry bar in Via Solferino and the one in Viale Vittorio Veneto have nailed it with their distinctive style and nice vibe. Everything, from the counter to the tables, makes the setting welcoming and stylish. Moreover, the venue in Viale Vittorio Veneto is the result of a key redevelopment project. Old and new create a masterpiece.
Baxter Bar
We had already wrote about the elegant Baxter Bar in this feature thanks to the contribution of DesignByGemini. The Baxter Bar is very dear to us, as our SM Marble – Palladio Moro was used to make the floors of this venue with a unique charm. The elegant Baxter lounge is a few steps away from the Duomo, it’s worth a visit.
